4 hours to go!

So, all packed, it’s all in the car (just) and just going through the inventory for the studio in PARIS!! Apparently there is a kettle in the bathroom and something called a ‘hand grip’ a ‘dry hands’ and a ‘drying purple’. How exciting!

Got a text from Bex, she’s already there, so jealous. What a day it’s been, Steve – the chauffeur (hehe), was stuck in Italy as the door to the plane wouldn’t shut (thanks Ryanair) and Tom had someone go into the back of his car. Apart from that, I’ve had a lovely few days. I’ve been down in Dorset with nan and granddad and saw aunty, uncle and cousins. This weekend I went to see Les Mis with Nick (anniversary pressie), and we had cake from the Hummingbird Bakery, everything was amazing and we had an awesome day.

Think I’m going to miss certain people – obviously family and Nick, also Rosie for all the dancing and cake and tea, and generally everyone at dancing :-P but at least I’ll be able to keep it up in Paris. Only 4 hours to go till we leave.  4.30am we are leaving, in the little Ford focus (will she make it??) Better get off to bed.

Sunday 19 June 2011

The countdown is nearly over...

Less than two weeks to go and got a feeling that there is so much still to do, doubt there really is though – just the daunting task of packing. So the aim of this little blog thing is just to let everyone know what I’m up to, make you all jealous ;-) and so that I have a little reminder of my year abroad, oh and help anyone going next year (as the uni’s attempt is pretty poor).

I’m not as anxious as I thought I’d be (yet), but I guess that’s because I have parents moving me out and the boyfriend, Nick, is coming to stay for the first two weeks, plus it’s Paris, it’s not that far away from home, although I’m not looking forward to the ridiculously early train over on July 1st.

Anyway, to more important things: packing = hard and boring. The upside is lots of shopping trips with mum: new tops, new dresses, new bag – I could go and live abroad every other year if it meant all these shopping trips! :-D

More shopping tomorrow, this time with nan!
